  1. Provide unique opportunities for ongoing professional development for members of the alumni group.
  2. Sponsor social and service opportunities where alumni can gather, network, and share information and resources.
  3. Support the ENPL program through aiding in recruitment and selection, supporting the current participants during the program, and celebrating graduation each year.
  4. Influence change by serving collectively on community-based projects and advocating on issues related to the nonprofit sector in Virginia.

Tuesday, February 12, 8:30-10am –  Coffee and Conversation on “Courage as Key to Being a Successful Leader” with Ann Deaton, Ph.D. PCC at the Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence
Each of us demonstrates acts of courage every day as a nonprofit leader. And, regardless of our position in our organizations, if we show up with greater courage, those around us become more courageous as well.
Come to this session to:
-Learn about the three kinds of courage and how these play out in your daily work
-Share your examples of each of the kinds of courage and learn from one another
-Develop an understanding of how courage enables your success as a leader
-Identify and commit to one way to grow your courage where you need it most
Note:  size is limited to twelve participants, first-come-first-served.  Please RSVP to nonprofit@vcu.edu.  There is no fee for the session.

Friday, March 22, 1-4pm (social hour following at 4pm) - Joint session with current ENPL class on “Leadership, Creativity and Teamwork” at the Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence

Wednesday, May 1, 8:30-10:00am –  Coffee and Conversation with Susan Wilkes at the Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence
This lively discussion session will be based on organizational change expert John Kotter’s latest article, “Accelerate!”.  Participants will read the brief article exploring strategic ability – how to capitalize on opportunities and dodge threats with speed and assurance – ahead of time.  This is also an excellent opportunity for networking through the structured conversations with ENPL alumns from different cohort groups.
