Chlan, Katie LCSW

Katie Chlan serves as Director of Housing Access Programs at Virginia Supportive Housing (VSH).  In this position, Katie oversees numerous programs that provide rental subsidies and services in fair market housing to those with disabilities and/or limited incomes.  Her staff works directly with landlords and property managers to locate and secure affordable housing for program participants.  She is graduate of the VCU/Community Foundation Emerging Non-Profit Leaders Program. Prior to her work at VSH, Katie served as Supervisor of Homeless Services at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority.  Katie has over 13 years of experience in the human services field and has provided direct services in addition to her administrative work.  Katie has served as an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and as a board member of SAARA (Substance Abuse and Addiction Recovery Alliance).  She received her license as a clinical social worker (LCSW) in 2005.  She earned her Masters of Social Work with dual concentrations in clinical work and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
