Katz, Phyllis, JD
Phyllis Katz is an attorney with Sands Anderson PC in Richmond, Va. She concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law, non-profit organizations, and government law. Katz is on the faculty at the University of Richmond’s School of Law where she teaches a course on non-profit organizations, She is a frequent speaker at statewide conferences on the operational issues that confront nonprofit. Phyllis has also served as faculty member at Virginia Tech teaching course on human resource management. She is the founder of the Legal Information Network for Cancer (LINC) in Richmond and has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations. Prior to entering private practice, Katz was in charge of employee relations for the commonwealth of Virginia. She also served as chief legal counsel for the College of William and Mary and the University of Mary Washington. Among Katz’s clients are many state and local non-profit organizations.
