Hixon, Steve, MBA
Steve Hixon works full-time as a prevention coordinator with Henrico County Prevention Services, developing, implementing and managing youth programs. He has more than 20 plus years of experience working with youth and families in rural, urban and suburban areas. He has an undergraduate degree in social work and a master’s degree in business administration. His experience ranges from working directly with youth of all ages to working with parents and training those who work with youth. He is also a consultant for James Madison University Office on Substance Abuse Research, has served on United Way’s Family, Youth and Children Action Council for 17 years and is a member of Virginia Union University’s Social Work Advisory Board. He has developed and implemented two nationally recognized youth programs and provides various staff development trainings and consultation on youth programming throughout the state of Virginia and nationally. He is very committed to working with young people and those who impact their lives.
