Sarah Harvey is a much sought after Human Resources Trainer and Consultant for Employee Centric, with an emphasis in Management Training and Development. With over 20 years of Human Resources experience, she has led management development programs with companies like Capital One, Circuit City, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Johnson & Johnson, Cordis, Baxter Healthcare, and Ryder Systems. Sarah earned an MBA degree from the University of Miami while working full-time and has a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia. Sarah has practical work experience in project management and all aspects of training and development. Her experience includes needs assessment, curriculum design, course development, and delivery for both web-based e-learning and instructor-led training.
As a professional trainer, Sarah has designed and delivered various training programs for employees including, but not limited to: strategic thinking, critical analysis and problem solving, performance management, time management, effective discipline, interviewing skills, managing conflict, working with the generations, communication skills, teambuilding, employee orientation, presentation skills, meeting effectiveness, supervisory skills, FMLA, EEOC, Preventing Harassment, Total Quality Management (TQM), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety. In addition to training, Sarah has implemented a record tracking database, 360-degree feedback process and performance management systems.
As a guest speaker, Sarah has presented a variety of topics from “Effective Communication” to “Hiring Right” for association meetings and on-site company events. Some of her clients include: Medical Society of Virginia, American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), Fredericksburg SHRM, VaSHRRA, American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA), Accountants Society of Virginia, Richmond Medical Group Management Association (RMGMA) and University of Virginia – School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Through her extra curricular activities, Sarah has demonstrated her commitment to lifelong learning. She is a member of the River City Express Network chapter of the American Business Women’s Association, a member of both the national and local chapters of SHRM, and volunteers for The Central Virginia Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity.
