Demro, Kathleen M. Ed.

Kathleen Radford Demro is the Executive Director of Safe Harbor, the sexual and domestic violence program located in Henrico County. Previously she worked at the Department of Criminal Justice Services for 14 years, managing funding for victim assistance programs statewide. She is a faculty member of several state and national training organizations. Her 24 years of experience in the field of crime victim assistance also includes serving as Director of the Campbell County Victim/Witness Program, and working at Avalon in Williamsburg, a dual program for victims of sexual and domestic violence. She has a B.A. in Government, a Masters of Education in Agency Counseling, and she is a graduate of both Leadership Metro Richmond and the VCU Nonprofit Management Certificate Program. Kathleen is a Past President of the Junior League of Richmond, and served on the Nominating Committee of the Association of Junior Leagues International. Kathleen is married to Joseph, and she is the mother of a Labrador Retriever. A native of Alaska, she loves to travel, and her goal is to visit all fifty states (she’s been to 46 so far). She’s a member of three book clubs, and she also enjoys riding her pink bike and keeping Netflix busy.
